It's been a while!

To say the least. On reflection I mustn't have felt like I had anything to say, or been down or feeling invisible, whatever it was.....it's gone!
Perhaps getting over a health issue, regaining mobility and losing the weight that arrived with not being able to move about, is all helping to make me feel great!!!
Autumn and Winter are my favourite seasons anyway, I always feel so alive and vital. Walking through the woods with a blanket of leaves and crunchy acorns underfoot, a frost on the grass, wearing thick socks and wellies, heaven. The English countryside has never looked so beautiful...............did I mention we're back in dear old Blighty? We returned in 2007 back to North Norfolk and a little cottage. Unfortunately we are henless at the moment, but you never know. Coco our well travelled boxer x and 2 of our cats are with us and have made the transition from Brittany countryside to Norfolk countryside very ably.
The best, best thing of all is that I'm near to my lovely daughters and son.

Lost in France

Ist of February- I'm still here deep, deep in the countryside of Brittany. Outside it is grey, damp and a wonderful pallett of greens and I'm as blue as a summer sky.

We moved/escaped here in 2003 away from the madness of city life, after all, what could be better Peter worked all over the world, he was away from home for weeks at a time, and I could enjoy the luxury of being a stay at home woman, tending the garden, collecting eggs from the hens and making decorative and delicious jars of chutneys and jams from the orchard, garden and hedgerow, bliss!

Hardly a sound disturbes the tranquility I am sourounded with, the rare tractor, perhaps the dog barking mildly at the postman, on Sunday (in season) the sound of gunfire as the chasse hunt a fox or boar. Is this heaven? Can I say that as we speak I am stirring a pot of stewing leeks with one hand whilst the other smoothes the coat of a stressed cat, clad in my vintage pinny, cashmere socks and glowing country cheeks? No, sorry, I'm so bored I could perform cosmetic surgery on myself without anesthesia!
